COMPLETE COURSE INFORMATION

Scuba Diver  -  The entry level course designed to teach the basic skills, equipment needs, safety concerns, physics, physiology and everything else that a person needs to know to become a happy, competent scuba diver.  Pre-requisites:  minimum age 12, in good health and able to swim.  

All courses include the NAUI Scuba Diver Education System (DVD, Audio CD, textbook, workbook, dive tables, logbook, pen, pencil), classroom and pool instruction, use of tank, regulator, BC for pool and certification card upon completion of dives.  Price:  $245  Choose from:

Advanced - Your next step after Scuba Diver to improve upon your skills, try different types of diving and have more FUN.  After a brief classroom session (Tues, July 22 with Jim Zalas OR Fri, Aug 8 with Larry Schaller at 6 pm), pick from the dive schedule and come do a boat, night, navigation, S&R, deeper, current dive and more.  Price:  $85

Nitrox - Who ever said that air is the perfect breathing mix for scuba divers?  Come learn why Nitrox (just a different mixture of oxygen and nitrogen) can extend your bottom time and lead to safer diving.  Course covers the benefits of nitrox, the nitrox dive tables, how to set your computer for nitrox, how nitrox is made, special equipment considerations and more.  Instructors:  Linda Huston, Bill Legler and Gene Krahe.  $185 price includes Nitrox kit (book, 2 dive tables,  Ocean x calculator, bumper sticker and nitrox pouch), classroom instruction, NAUI certification and 2 tanks of nitrox for training dives.  Pick up the book asap and get reading!

Deep Specialty  -  An excellent introduction to deeper diving covering topics such as:  special equipment for deep diving, physics and physiology review, dive tables, computers, hazards and special diving procedures.  Class will meet Saturday, June 14 at 9:00 am.  pre-requisite:  Advanced, Instructor:  Bill Legler  Price:  $115 includes textbook

Dive Rescue  - Learn to become a safer diver and buddy by taking the NAUI Rescue course.  Schedule:  Tuesday, July 15 meet at Diver’s World at 6:00 pm for registration, pool from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Thursday, July 17 classroom from 6:00 - 10:00 pm, Open water dives Saturday, July 19.  Instructor:  Gene Krahe, Price:  $135 and includes NAUI Rescue Diver Educational System (textbook, workbook, DVD, CPR quick pack, audio CD's, and more), pool fees, classroom and open water instruction, NAUI certification.

First Aid / CPR / Oxygen - NAUI First Aid course covering CPR, Emergency Oxygen Administration, AED, Blood-borne Pathogens, and Marine Life Injuries First Aid.  We use the new NAUI book and review practical application for all topics.  You'll receive your certificate upon completion of classroom demonstrations and written exam.  Pre-requisites:  none, Instructors:  Gene Krahe and Bill Legler, Price:  $60  Date:  Tuesday, August 12 at 6:00 pm.

Training Assistant - This course is designed with the diver in mind who would like to help out at training dives and in the pool.  You'll learn to escort students on the surface and on underwater tours, assist instructors in the pool and at open water dives and you'll also benefit by enhancing your general diving skills and abilities.  Pre-requisites:  Advanced, Dive Rescue and current First Aid and CPR.  Instructors:  Linda Huston & Bill Legler, Price:  $80.
